Honoring Moms

Did you know that American Mothers, Inc.® is the official sponsor of Mother’s Day? We also believe in honoring mothers all year long! Since 1947, Arizona has selected a Mother of the Year,® a woman of faith, who values the traditional family. Since 1968 we have also selected a Young Mother Representative® who displays the attributes of family, faith in God, and community service. Both Mother of the Year® and our Arizona Young Mother® represent our state at the National Convention of American Mothers, Inc. each April.

We also honor Mothers of Accomplishment—everyday women who seek to make their homes and their communities a better place. If you know of a young or experienced mother who you feel is doing an exceptional job, feel free to contact us.

Arizona AMI also gives young people a chance to pay tribute to their mothers. We sponsor a 5th Grade Essay Contest in the metro East Valley where boys and girls write what they love about their moms. Awards are given to the most outstanding essays.   If you would like to encourage schools in your area to participate, please let us know.

For information regarding these programs, contact Jolyn Weathers, 3rd Vice President at .
